EB - Gas Boiler Service

When Should You Service Your Boiler?

Most of us know that you should get your boiler serviced regularly, however, how often and when you should get your boiler serviced is trickier to know. There are a number of gas boiler suppliers in Northern Ireland but it’s important to make sure your boiler service is carried out by an engineer that is gas safe registered, such as ourselves at EB Gas. Here are a few servicing tips you should be aware of so you can get the best from your boiler.

Service your boiler annually.

As a rule, you should service your gas boiler annually to keep it in good condition.

Maintaining your boiler is vital, especially if you want to keep your boiler under warranty. Most warranties require that you have your boiler serviced yearly. It may be the case that if your boiler breaks down and you haven’t serviced it within the past 12 months, your warranty will not come into effect and you won’t be eligible to claim the cost of repairs.

Getting your boiler checked annually will also give you a chance of catching serious problems in the early stages. This will save you the bother of your boiler breaking down and the cost of a replacement.

Your annual boiler check should be carried out by a professional Gas Safe registered engineer, who will make sure your boiler is in it’s best working order.

Service your boiler in the summer.

Summer tends to be the best time of year to get your boiler serviced. Getting your boiler serviced in summer allows you to make sure it is in good working order for the colder months of winter. It will prevent any unwanted breakdowns over the winter months in which your boiler is in high use and is vital for your family.

When winter begins, you will be much less likely to get an appointment with an engineer due to a higher volume of boiler breakdowns. If your boiler breaks down in the winter months, this means you will have to wait longer before your boiler is up and in working order again.

Service your boiler when it seems inefficient.

An inefficient boiler may drive up the cost of your energy bills. However, before you spend lots of money on a brand new boiler, you may want so consider booking a boiler check. In the long run this could save you money on your energy bills and help you get the most out of your boiler.

On the other hand, it is important not to wait until you have a problem with your boiler. Do not be fooled by a boiler that appears to be working well. Even if your boiler seems to be in good condition, make sure to keep to a yearly schedule of getting your gas boiler serviced.

Service your boiler when moving into a new home.

Getting your boiler checked when moving into a new house is something you should strongly consider. When moving into a new home you should make a point of beginning a new boiler servicing schedule as you may not know when the previous owner last booked a boiler check.

We are here to help.

Our highly qualified engineers at E.B Gas are registered with Gas Safe and RGII. They are fully qualified to perform domestic and commercial gas installations.

So don’t delay any longer, if you haven’t serviced your boiler this year or need a replacement, call us on 028 3026 2908. Alternatively, email us at service@ebgasservices.com.

We are delighted to announce the launch of our new website!

Along with our new premise, we now have a new website to accompany it. Designed and developed by Cornell Studios, we have a refreshed look and easy to search product catalogue. This new feature makes it easy to review parts and you can also request product quotes.

So have a look around! Start browsing and feel free to get in touch today through our contact page or by calling 02830262908.

We hope you love our new site as much as we do!

We Have Moved

We have moved! We are very excited to announce that we now have a fantastic new premise on the Tandragee Road. Due to the expansion of our business, we found it necessary to move to a larger and more modern building.

This larger premise has a bigger store for a wider range of spare parts to be maintained and will allow us to develop a more comprehensive trade counter. This extra space means we can do a lot of our preparation of equipment for installation in-house now. This is a great asset for any business, allowing us to spend less time on site.

Both our staff and customers will be happy to see that our new building has easier parking access. This will allow for a better environment for those visiting our site and we can’t wait for you to come and see our new home!

Catex Exhibition Dublin

Catex Dublin was held this year on the 26th-28th February 2019. Organised by the Irish Foodservice Suppliers Alliance (IFSA), we were thrilled to be part of this event once again. This year we had a larger stand than usual, highlighting our long term commitment to the catering industry.

We work throughout all of Ireland for the highly sought-after Kiremko chip ranges, however Catex is really an excellent opportunity for us to display our other wide range of catering equipment and accessories which we are always keep to show off.  Customers at the exhibit showed great enthusiasm for all of our services, however we noticed particular interest in our free design service for chip shops and other catering establishments. Some of our fantastic staff members joined us at our stand for the event and were more than happy to tell customers about our services. Our installation and service business is one that has expanded in the past number of years, so this is one we really want to shout about.

Our Catering Sales Manager has said “it was a great way of targeting a specific market showcasing our wide range of products for our sales, installation and servicing expertise.
